All gliders must be fitted with an operational FLARM anti collision warning unit as stated in the local rules.

FLARM is a GPS based anti collision aid, ozFLARM is the Australian made version.

The Adelaide Soaring Club (ASC) tested ozFlarm at the Penfolds National Multi class Competition at Gawler in January 2006. The trial was very successful and as a result ozFLARM is now being fitted to all the ASC club gliders and tugs.
